I don't think the second volume in July will be Supergirl. Bob refused to tell us at ICON what the oversized volume would be. If Supergirl is going to be the oversized volume, as everyone assumes (and which makes good sense), and the volume has not sufficiently progressed so that Bob would be willing to announce it, then it seems to me that it is unlikely it will be ready for July. I seems increasingly obvious to me that the DC July doubleheader is Challengers and GA Batman -- This nicely spaces the Batman volume between the February Batman Dynamic Duo and a projected December Worlds Finest 3. Since among the few archives that I do not own are Batman #5 and Dark Knight #3 -- which one is due? The collection strategy is Batman collecting Detective Comics and Dark Knight collecting Batman Comics -- so I am assuming that Dark Knight #4 would contain older material than Batman #6 -- or am I wrong??? You're correct. DK #4 would feature material from 1942-43. Batman #6 would feature 1947-48. Since the recent Batman in WF volume featured the early '40s, it would make sense to showcase the later '40s with the next release. On the other hand, the last DK volume was in 2000, the last Batman volume in 2001, so that indicator would favor DK. IP: Logged |

Okay, so now I'm going to get Batman 6 for my birthday? Is this what you're saying? I think it's all a shell game to keep me guessing so I'll be surprised. Fair 'nuff, I just hope it isn't New Teen Titans 2. IP: Logged |

I doubt you'll see supergirl Volume 2 until supergirl becomes a big seller comics wise.PAD's supergirl didn't exactly set the sales chart on fire,i enjoyed the issues.i think you'll see the 'many happy returns" tpb in july.that will be this years supergirl fix. Jess IP: Logged |

Archive sales tend to be independant of monthly sales. If they were closly linked, Plastic Man would either have a monthly or there would have never been a Volume 2 (let alone a Volume 3 and Volume 4). Supergirl had good sales, and given the lesser expense needed to produce it, means it made more than average money. A Volume 2 is likely within the next year. IP: Logged |

Assuming that DC wants to vary the selection as much as possible within any given short period of time, and further assuming that Challengers 1 is on for July: If World's Finest is the eighth Silver Age book this year, then it's likely to come late in the year, and the GA Batman book would be likely for July. I noticed in the Dynamic Duo Archives that the inside back flap listing of available archives lists "THE FLASH ARCHIVES Volumes 1 - 4". Last time I looked there were only 3 Flash (SA) archives. This would tend to lead me to believe that there is a soon to be released Flash Archive. Anyone have any information confirming that this was a misprint? On the other hand, the Spectre Archives (released AFTER Dynamic Duo but not maybe not completed before it) listed only 3 Flash Archives available... Was this covered in a different thread or is this indicating a new SA Flash archives? IP: Logged |

It's a missprint. It occured in 3 or 4 Archives. Bob G. confirmed this in one of answers. IP: Logged |
